10 week fitness plan: Week 8 – P90X2 results

Just 2 more weeks to go.  Last week I did P90x2 the first 3 days and Tapout XT for last 3 days.  This week I am going to step out of my comfort zone and do Brazilian Butt Lift.  I want to strengthen my lower body and it looks to be a great program to target that area.  After doing the first workout today I know I am in for a challenge.  This guy does not take breaks, you are constantly moving the entire workout.

I just want to take time to thank all those that are following and supporting me on my journey.  We are in this together and when I get weak and don’t want to finish the workouts it is good to know I am not in this alone.  Below are the workouts I did and my results

P90X2

Monday: X2 Total Body, X2 Ab Ripper

Tuesday: X2 Core

Wednesday: X2 Balance & Power

Tapout XT

Thursday: Cardio XT

Friday: Legs & Back, Ultimate Abs XT

Saturday: Ripped Conditioning, 5 Minute Knockout

Sunday: Rest day

8 weeks ago I started at Weight 197.8 Waist 34 ½

I have lost 6.6 lbs and 2.25 inches off my waist

My goal is to lose 10 pounds and 3 inches off my waist.  Going to keep pushing for my goal.

My journey today: Brazilian Butt lift Bum Bum, grits and bacon.

 

10 Week Fitness Plan: Week 7 Insanity Asylum results

Insanity Asylum is very intense and I learned a humbling lesson the first day.  What I wanted to do last week was double up every workout.  So I would do the workout in the morning and the same routine in the evening.  Well I was mid way through the second workout and my knee shut down on me.  There is a lot of jumping in Vertical Plyo and it is non stop, so I had to stop and ice my knee.  Doing Insanity Asylum once is good enough, my bright idea went out the window.  I have completed Insanity Asylum before but it was a year ago. Me and my sore knee would strongly advise completing Insanity and Insanity Asylum vol. 1 first before you start to double up the workouts.

One more thing I need to focus on the next 3 weeks is tightening up my meals and snacks.  I have a plan I just need to execute it better, especially on my rest day when my appetite can get crazy.

This week I am doing P90X2 which I will focus on my resistance training and core training.  My plan is to incorporate a little Tapout XT to give me a little cardio to go along with the weight training.  I want to get close to 190 this week and I going to push to get there.

10 Week Fitness Plan: ChaLEAN Extreme Results

Excited about this week, last week was rough.  I hit a wall mentally.  It is not that ChaLEAN Extreme is not a good program.  I just did not have my heart in it.  After doing Tapout XT I wanted more of a challenge.  If I were to redesigned my workout plan.  I would do ChaLEAN Extreme earlier in the plan.  Regardless of what happened last week.  I am committed to moving forward to becoming a better me this week.

Monday: Burn Circuit 1 & Push Circuit 2

Tuesday: Burn it off

Wednesday: Extreme ABs

Thursday: Burn Intervals

Friday: Ab Burner & Burn Circuit 2

Saturday: TurboFire HIIT 15

Sunday: Rest Day

This week I started Insanity asylum and I am up for the challenge.  I will push myself harder this week and embrace the results.

My journey today: Insanity asylum Vertical Plyo & grits and 3 strips of bacon.

Pushing through Midweek Funk

Midway through this week and I am being challenged by my workouts.  It is not that they are too hard, it is that I don’t feel pushed like I did last week.  When a workout is easy it me complacent.  It is not that ChaLEAN Extreme is a bad program it is just a drop off from doing Tapout XT.  Also for some reason my back hurts doing some of the exercises and I am having wrist issues.  Regardless of the challenges I will complete the rest of this week with more energy and make the most of my time.

Staying committed to anything takes discipline.  I believe we grow most when we are faced with adversity and my challenge is pushing through and not quitting.

I won’t quit.  I am too close to the finish line. 

 

10 week fitness plan: Week 5 Tapout XT results

Tapout XT is a great workout program.  It is tough but the workouts are so engaging that you are done before you know it.  From the first workout to the last workout I was drenched in sweat.  The hardest part of doing Tapout XT is having to stop this week to do another program.  Below are the workouts I completed and my results.
